About Monster Mash Math
Monster Mash Math is a free Halloween math game for kids in grades K–5. Every right answer cracks an egg and hatches a monster — and a graveyard full of monsters brings bats, ghosts, and other spooky visitors out to play.
How it works
Pick a level, answer math questions, and watch the graveyard fill up. A right answer on the first try earns 2 points, and on the second try 1 point. Missed questions come back for another try, so mistakes are just part of the mash. Along the way, players earn visitors and spooky decorations, and everything they have hatched is kept in a Monster Journal.
There are no accounts, no timers pressuring kids, and nothing to buy. Progress, earned items, and best scores are saved on the device being used, so a player can close the tab and come back to the same graveyard later. It is a Halloween favorite, but the monsters are happy to practice math all year.
The four levels
Hatchling
Counting, patterns, shapes, add and subtract within 10.
Creeper
Place value, time, coins, even and odd, add and subtract to 100.
Ghoul
Times tables, rounding, area, time, fractions.
Boss Monster
Decimals, factors, order of operations, fractions, bigger numbers.
Kids can move between levels freely — there is no locked order, so a player can practice exactly the skill they are working on.
