About Petal Patch
Petal Patch is a free garden math game for kids in grades K–5. Every right answer grows a flower — and a garden full of flowers brings bees, butterflies, and other visitors to see.
How it works
Pick a garden, answer math questions, and watch it grow. A right answer on the first try earns 2 points, and on the second try 1 point. A missed question stays a bud until you water it with a new try, so mistakes are just part of gardening. Along the way, players earn visitors and garden items, and everything they have grown is kept in a Garden Journal.
There are no accounts, no timers pressuring kids, and nothing to buy. Progress, earned items, and best scores are saved on the device being used, so a player can close the tab and come back to the same garden later.
The four gardens
Seedling
Counting, patterns, shapes, add and subtract within 10.
Sprout
Place value, time, coins, even and odd, add and subtract to 100.
Bud
Times tables, rounding, area, time, fractions.
Bloom
Decimals, factors, order of operations, fractions, bigger numbers.
Kids can move between gardens freely — there is no locked order, so a player can practice exactly the skill they are working on.
For parents & teachers
- Free, always. The full game is free to play, with no sign-up.
- Classroom friendly. Works in any modern browser on Chromebooks, tablets, and computers — nothing to install.
- Private by design. Petal Patch collects no personal information. Game progress never leaves the device. See our Privacy Policy.
- Practice that feels like play. Short question rounds, gentle hints, and a garden that visibly grows with effort make it easy to use for warm-ups, math centers, or a few minutes of practice at home.
